The Flagg Creek Heritage Society is a Non-Profit Organization and an affiliate of the Pleasant Dale Park District. We are dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the Flagg Creek area.
The Society operates the Flagg Creek Historical Museum and the Robert Vial House located on the grounds of the Pleasant Dale Park District at 7425 S. Wolf Rd., Burr Ridge IL, as well as hosting many programs throughout the year. Both the Museum and the Robert Vial House can be opened upon request. Groups are welcome. George Godfrey, Citizen Potawatomi
Mr. Godfrey will speak about his Great-Great Grandmother Watchekee. The Bergeron family and Chief Shabbona as portrayed in his latest books “Watchekee, Overseer” and “Once a Grass Widow”.
Godfrey is a prominent spokesperson among First Nation people, a natural story teller and a traditional Powwow dancer. This is a family friendly event.
